About me

Travelling as a family from Kinshasa to Muanda (and beyond)

I'm Chris, dad of three and passionate about family travel. In 2024, we did Kinshasa–Muanda in 8 days with the kids, without any reliable info online.

On this blog, I share our experiences, detailed itineraries and, above all, reliable contacts in Congo (drivers, accommodation, activities) to help you plan your own trip safely.

Where to stay in Kinshasa

Safe, secure accommodation in Kinshasa, so you can bring your kids

Coming from France, you land in Kinshasa. And finding accommodation as good and as secure as ours is a real headache for diaspora families.

  • Residence guarded 24/7
  • Automatic generator: no more power cuts
  • 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, pool, wifi
  • €1,400 a month negotiated, about €47 a night
